The Crafts Room at NEFFA is meant to showcase the work of craftspeople in the traditional dance and music community. All work must be hand crafted by the participant. If you wish to sell something other than what you have made, you might consider contacting the Folk Bazaar.
New participants are juried in the late summer. The deadline for NEFFA 2010 is September 15, 2009.
You might like to know the following:
- The craft room at NEFFA is meant to showcase the work of craftspeople in the traditional dance and music community
- We are committed to showing the highest quality crafts.
- We strongly encourage craft demonstrations. They take place in a special area on a published schedule.
- The hall has spaces for 31 booths.
- Approximately 20-25 craftspeople return each year.
- A conscientioous effort is made to balance the crafts represented in the room. About one third of the exhibitors are instrument makers.
- Set-up will be Friday afternoon, 2-6 pm.
- Festival hours are 6-11:30 Friday; 10-11:30 Saturday; 10-5:30 Sunday.
- The craft room opens at 9:45 Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- The craft room closes at 11:15 Friday and Saturday evenings.
- Your space must be attended during the hours the craft room is open.
- The fee for space is $75, due upon acceptance.
- Spaces are approximately 10'x10'. You will know its exact size before the festival.
- You will provide your own tables and chairs. If you wish to rent them from NEFFA, tables will be $12 each regardless of length (4-, 6-, or 8-foot). Chairs are $2.50 each.
- Electricity is provided. Bring your own lights and heavy-duty cords.
- Please do not send a check until you are accepted.
