These are pots that don't fit in any other category and have a wider variety of glazes than the other work. I often try out small, experimental batches of glazes on these pieces.
I call this new series "Indigo" (plate and bottom row mugs)because it is inspired by the highly patterned indigo-dyed fabric of the Yoruba of Nigeria. The color I've chosen for it is more like the color of indigo as it comes out of the vat, before it's matured into the deep blue associated with its name.
